The body of former Chinese premier Zhu Rongji was cremated in Beijing on Tuesday.
President Xi Jinping and other senior leaders of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the state, including Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi and Han Zheng, bid farewell to Zhu at the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery on Tuesday morning.
Amid solemn music, they walked slowly toward Zhu's body and stood in silent tribute. They then paid their final respects with three bows and shook hands with Zhu's family members. Hu Jintao sent a wreath to express his condolences over Zhu's passing.
Zhu died of illness on Aug. 12 in Beijing at the age of 98.
He had served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the 14th and 15th Central Committees of the CPC.
Zhu was extolled in an obituary as an excellent Party member, a time-tested and loyal communist fighter, and an outstanding proletarian revolutionist, statesman and leader of the Party and the state.
Xi Jinping, Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi, Han Zheng and Hu Jintao, among others, had either visited Zhu when he was in hospital or expressed deep condolences and offered sincere sympathies to his family through various means after his passing.

二 |     走进江西宁都县小布镇，苏区中央局遗址文化公园里游人如织，红色旧址群内的沉浸式剧场不时传出游客的惊叹，残疾人熊天星边做义务导游边推销小布蜂蜜、小布岩茶等土特产……2022年，中央专项彩票公益金支持欠发达革命老区乡村振兴示范区项目落地于此，“苏区小镇乡村振兴示范区”项目为这块红色热土注入强劲动能。修缮保护留根脉，红色旧址展新颜红色是小布最鲜明的底色，承载了这片土地厚重的革命记忆和红色基因。依托中央专项彩票公益金的有力支撑，小布镇坚持红色产业优先发展，投入1190万元建设苏区中央局遗址文化公园，以红色旧址为基点，精心修缮，形成赤坎红色旧址群。同时，小布镇投入彩票公益金1310万元修缮木坑村韶坊红三军团旧址群，完善横照村红军总后方医院配套设施，进一步拓展了小布红色旅游线路。此外，小布镇还安排彩票公益金420万元，将水西桥至横照红军总后方医院的村道拓宽改造为生态旅游公路，实施水西隘口除险拓宽加固工程，打通了苏区中央局遗址文化公园的外延连接线。一砖一瓦的修葺、一条条道路的贯通，不仅留住了革命旧址的历史风貌，更守住了苏区精神的根脉，让红色文化在新时代焕发出新的光彩。

三 | 旧址活化惠民生，群众增收路更宽旧址修缮一新，不仅留住了游客，也融入了当地群众的日常生活。张奶奶笑着说：“以前都在家里歇着，现在这里修好了，有空就过来坐坐，跟老姐妹聊聊天，比过去舒心多了。”与此同时，红色旅游的发展还给群众带来了实实在在的收入。2023年红色旧址修缮后，来旅游的人越来越多，从小深受红色文化熏陶的熊天星便主动当起义务导游，顺便推销小布蜂蜜、小布岩茶等土特产，“我已经坚持了将近三年，生意好的时候一个月能赚上千元。”门口的路修好了，以前的荒地变成了供村民休闲娱乐的荷花池。红色旧址不再是尘封的记忆，而是与居民生活融为一体，成为既能传承革命精神、又可带动增收致富的鲜活载体。数字赋能添活力，红色文旅增魅力在保护红色旧址的同时，小布镇积极探索“数字+红色文旅”新路径。投入中央彩票公益金300万元，配套投资2000万元，新建无线电侦察台体验馆，在中国工农红军第一部无线电侦察台旧址内实施数字文旅项目，运用VR、AR、MR等前沿技术，打造沉浸式红色剧场秀，立体还原当年红军战斗生活的真实场景。游客能以第一视角“穿越”到烽火连天的革命年代，身临其境感悟红色精神，红色教育的感染力得到全新突破。来此旅游的何先生在参观后感慨：“走访了很多红色文化旧址，感觉这里的红色文化保存得很好，旅游体验特别棒，我会介绍更多人来小布镇旅游。”数字技术的赋能，让红色历史从书本中“走”出来，从旧址中“活”起来，吸引了更多年轻人和外地游客慕名而来，小布镇的红色旅游品牌愈加响亮。从苏区中央局遗址文化公园到无线电侦察台体验馆，中央专项彩票公益金串点成线，让小布镇红色旧址群焕然一新，“红色+研学培训”“红色+休闲康养”等多元业态蓬勃发展，全域旅游格局加速成型。

四 | 中央专项彩票公益金不仅让红色资源“活起来”、乡村产业“旺起来”、群众腰包“鼓起来”，更为革命老区探索出一条公益赋能、红旅撬动、全域振兴的发展新路，为赋能乡村振兴、推动共同富裕持续贡献公益力量。
